The "Green Coin" environmental conservation program has been running since 2001
Supported by the generosity of 2 million people, he was awarded the Medal with Dark Blue Ribbon

TOKYU HOTELS & RESORTS CO., LTD. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Jun Murai) was recommended by the OISCA (Suginami-ku, Tokyo; Chairperson: Etsuko Nakano; hereinafter referred to as "OISCA") and received the Dark Blue Ribbon Medal last fall. We are pleased to announce that we have now been awarded the certificate of commendation.

The award is in recognition of the "Green Coin" environmental conservation initiative, which the company has been running since 2001, in which guests make donations based on the amount of unused amenities they use during their stay. (※1) The total number of Green Coins collected between April 1, 2024 and January 31, 2025 is 21,789, bringing the cumulative total to 2,282,536 (estimate).
Funds equivalent to the number of Green Coins are donated through OISCA to the "Children's Forest" program (*2), which encourages children in the Asia-Pacific region to plant and grow seedlings on school grounds and adjacent land, fostering a love of nature while promoting the greening of the earth, and to the "TOKYU HOTELS Green Coin Forest" project, a comprehensive initiative to protect Tokyo's water sources in Tanbayama Village, Yamanashi, with the help of local forestry businesses and our employee volunteers (*3).

This is one of the six types of commendations given by the Cabinet Office. Each time a commendable achievement occurs, a review is held based on the recommendations of each ministry and agency, and the award is given to those who have made donations to the national government, local governments, or public interest organizations.

We believe that this award is in recognition of the support and cooperation of a total of 2 million customers for the "Green Coin" environmental conservation activity that we have been running since 2001.
The volunteer activities for TOKYU HOTELS Green Coin Forest, which have been held over 30 times, have been made possible thanks to the cooperation of the people of Tanbayama Village Yamanashi
Many associates and their families have been actively participating in the project.
We invite our goodwill ambassadors to Japan to give lively and enjoyable reports on the status of local activities.
I am extremely pleased that our many years of collaboration with everyone at the IHI Group has culminated in this award.
As an "earth-friendly hotel," we will continue to deepen our efforts in our purpose of "creating fulfilling moments with people and towns."

The "Green Coin" system is a groundbreaking initiative that encourages hotel guests to be environmentally conscious and then donates the results to public interest activities. It is wonderful that this initiative was launched in 2001 and continues to this day as a part of the company's social responsibility.
OISCA has supported the "Children's Forest" project, which plants trees with children overseas and teaches them about the importance of the environment, and has also supported forest management and abandoned farmland measures in Tanbayama Village Yamanashi, to protect Tokyo's water sources, and has continued to send employee volunteers to help with this effort. It is not easy to start such an effort, but to continue it. We at OISCA are very pleased that our continued efforts for over 20 years have been recognized, leading to this award of the Dark Blue Ribbon Medal.
