Since its founding in the United States in 1958, Forbes Travel Guide has established the standard for excellent hospitality around the world and has issued the prestigious 5-star rating. Specialist inspectors anonymously visit, review and evaluate luxury hotels, restaurants and spas around the world based on strict evaluation criteria consisting of more than 800 items. More than 70% of the evaluation items are based on service, making this the highest rating recognized by the luxury travel industry around the world.
