Located in a quiet residential area of Kaminoge, Setagaya Ward, the Gotoh Museum of Art opened in 1960. It houses a collection of Japanese and Oriental art, including the National Treasure "Tale of Genji Illustrated Scroll" and other Important Cultural Properties.
The Daitokyu Memorial Library within the facility houses classical Japanese and Asian books and is open to academic researchers.
