Yanagibashi Rengo Market, also known as Hakata's kitchen, has been in operation since the early Showa period.

Hakata Old Town Festival
This autumn festival allows you to experience the city of Hakata with temple tours, illuminations, traditional craft experiences, and a night market.
The theme of the illumination changes every year, allowing you to enjoy the city of Hakata from a new angle.
Historical sites including Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, the temple town, and the Dazaifu Government Office
Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, dedicated to the god of learning, Sugawara no Michizane, and the temple town lined with souvenir shops selling ume-ga-mochi (plum-shaped rice cakes), are perfect for a half-day tour. Strolling around historical sites such as the remains of the Dazaifu Government Office, the largest regional government office that governed the ancient Kyushu countries and was known as the "Distant Imperial Court," and Kanzeonji Temple, which has a temple bell designated as a national treasure and many other important cultural properties, are also ideal.

Hakata Gion Yamakasa
Gorgeously decorated floats made by Hakata doll makers are set up all over the city. A one-ton float called Oiyama is carried by hundreds of men dressed in traditional Japanese clothing. The climax of the festival begins at 4:59 a.m. on July 15th, when seven floats rush out into the city at five-minute intervals from Kushida Shrine.

Korokan ruins
Heiwadai Baseball Stadium is the home stadium of the Nishitetsu Lions, famous among old baseball fans. Remains of a facility for accommodation and entertainment for diplomatic missions, called Chikushi-kan, during the Asuka and Nara periods, were discovered near the outfield seats, and excavation work is still ongoing. Some of the excavated items are on display at the Korokan Ruins Exhibition Hall.
