Questions about the facility

    Is the entire building non-smoking?

    A.

    Yes. Smoking is prohibited in all rooms, including balconies. Smoking is also prohibited on the premises, including the pool, beach, and parking lot.
    Smoking booths are available on the 1st basement floor of the Coral Wing.

  • Q.

    Is there a parking lot?

    A.

    Yes, we do.
    Please use the free parking lot on site (215 spaces).

  • Q.

    Are there coin laundry facilities?

    A.

    Yes, it is located on the basement floor of the Coral Wing.
    There are 16 washing machines and dryers.
    (24 hours, fee required, free detergent in coin laundry, 200 yen per wash, 100 yen per dryer)

  • Q.

    Is there a drying machine for swimsuits?

    A.

    Yes. They are located in front of the coin laundry on the first basement floor of the Coral Wing, in the Beach House changing room. You can use them for free.
    There is a laundry drying stand in the room, so please feel free to use it.

    Are there any ATMs?

    A.

    There is no ATM in the building, so we will direct you to the nearest ATM.
    The nearest ATM is at the post office, about a 5-minute drive from the hotel.
    A further 300 meters away is the convenience store "Family Mart," which has an AEON Bank ATM that is open 24 hours a day.

    I would like to send my luggage first. What should I do?

    A.

    If you have it sent to your hotel, we will keep it at the front desk until your arrival.

Questions about the rooms

    What is the difference between the Ocean Wing and the Coral Wing?

    A.

    The Ocean Wing is a 6-story building with the front desk, and the Coral Wing is a 9-story building.

    The Ocean Wing has standard twin rooms (3rd to 5th floors), Japanese-Western rooms (2nd floor), family Western-style rooms (1st floor), deluxe twin rooms (6th floor), and deluxe corner twin rooms (6th floor).
    The Coral Wing is divided into Superior Twin (3rd-4th floors), Premium Twin (4th-7th floors), and Grand Twin (8th-9th floors), with wide view rooms and view bathrooms on each floor. There is also a Coral Suite on the top floor.

  • Q.

    Can I access the Internet in my room?

    A.

    Yes, free Wi-Fi connection service is available in all rooms and some areas of the hotel.
    Please use it with your smartphone, tablet, or computer equipped with wireless LAN.
    Please note that you will be required to set up your own connection settings.

    *It may be difficult to connect due to excessive access.

    Can I take out the bath towels?

    A.

    No, you cannot take them out. Please use the bath towels provided in your room only in your room. Please refrain from taking them outside the hotel.

    Are there smoking and non-smoking rooms?

    All rooms in both the Ocean Wing and Coral Wing are non-smoking.

    Do you have wheelchairs available for rental?

    Yes, we do.
    Please make a reservation in advance as numbers are limited. We also rent amphibious wheelchair boats on the beach.

    When using the chairboat, you must be accompanied by a carer.

    Are there any rooms where I can stay with pets?

    A.

    Unfortunately, we don't have any.
    However, guide dogs and assistance dogs can be brought into the rooms.

  • Q.

    Are there any barrier-free rooms?

    A.

    Unfortunately, we don't have any.
    However, there are two universal rooms available in the Coral Wing Superior Twin Rooms.
    The sink and light switches are lowered and the bathroom door is a sliding door.
    If you would like this option, please make your reservation for a Superior Twin Room and let us know.

    Are there connecting rooms?

    A.

    Unfortunately, we don't have any.

    Can you tell me about child co-sleeping?

    A.

    Up to one elementary school-aged child may share a bed with one adult.
    If an elementary school student sleeps in the same bed as an adult, an additional breakfast fee will be charged. (*Breakfast fee varies depending on the season.)
    If you choose to share a bed with an adult, there will be no accommodation fee, but amenities will not be provided.

    When making an online reservation, please enter the number of children "using bedding" in the "Children" field.
    Please note that children who will be sharing beds with guests will not be included in the number of guests, but rather let us know their number and age in the comments section. (Example: We have one 0-year-old and one 5-year-old separately.)

    Do you have bed guards (for children)?

    Numbers are limited, so please make your reservation in advance.
    All rooms except for the Japanese-Western room, family Western room, and suite are Hollywood style.
    In addition, we have a variety of rental equipment for children available if you make a reservation in advance.

    When reserving a barbecue, can I specify indoor or outdoor?

    A.

    Yes, it can be specified.
    However, if you have made a reservation for outdoor seating and it rains and outdoor seating is not possible, your reservation will be automatically cancelled.
    (If there is available indoor seating, we will inform you separately.) Thank you for your understanding.

    Are there smoking and non-smoking seats?

    All restaurants are non-smoking.
    If you wish to smoke, please use the smoking booth located on the first basement floor of the Coral Wing.

    If I cancel a restaurant reservation, is there a cancellation fee?

    A.

    We currently do not charge a cancellation fee, but please contact us as soon as possible.

  • Q.

    I would like to bring small children with me. Are there any child chairs available?

    A.

    Each restaurant has children's chairs and tableware for children.
    Please ask a staff member if you wish to use the facility. You can also bring in baby food. If you would like baby food heated up, please feel free to ask a staff member.

Questions about the beach and pool

    Can I bring mobile phones, smartphones, cameras, etc. and take pictures in the pool?

    Can I take out beach towels?

    A.

    No. You cannot take them outside the hotel. Please use them only at the hotel pool and the private beach in front of the hotel. (*Please use the bath towels in your room only.)

    How far is the hotel from the beach?

    A.

    Yonaha Maehama Beach is right in front of you.
    You can go out in your swimsuit right from your room.

    I would like to use the beach before checking in and after checking out.

    You can enjoy marine leisure activities on the beach before checking in and after checking out at the guest rate.
    Large luggage and valuables can be stored at the front desk.
    Please use the shower rooms in the basement of the Beach House and Coral Wing for changing clothes and showering.

    Can people other than guests use the facilities?

    A.

    The pool, poolside umbrellas, chairs, and beach towels are for the exclusive use of staying guests and cannot be used.
    The following beach facilities are available for use at the following rates:

    • Shower room: 1,000 yen per person

    • Lockers in the shower room: Free

    What is the name of the beach in front of the hotel?

    A.

    It's called Yonaha Maehama Beach.
    This beautiful beach, said to be the best in the Orient, has smooth white sand and blue sea.
    It has been voted number one in Japan's best beaches for three consecutive years by the review website "TripAdvisor."

  • Q.

    Are there any fish in the sea in front of the hotel?

    A.

    The swimming area is sandy, so you can see fish such as koban trevally, whose colors are hard to see in the sand. Colorful fish such as butterflyfish live in the coral areas offshore, so we recommend joining one of the various snorkeling tours to see them.

    Until what month can you swim in the ocean in Miyakojima?

    A.

    Although it depends on the weather and temperature, you can usually swim in a swimsuit if it is sunny from early May to the end of October.
    (Swimming is not permitted at the hotel beach from December 1st to March 15th. The beach house will also be closed.)

    There is no problem with you posting your travel memories.
    However, please refrain from uploading for commercial purposes or personal advertising purposes.

    Can I use a drone to take photos on the hotel grounds or on the beach?

    A.

    No. Please refrain from using drones.

    Can I use your room as a dressing room?

    A.

Spa Questions

    Do I need an appointment?

    A.

    SPA Yururia requires a reservation. Depending on availability, same-day use is possible, but we recommend making a reservation in advance as it may get crowded.

  • Q.

    Can I make an appointment earlier or later?

    A.

    Please contact us by phone as soon as possible. We may be able to change your plan depending on the reservation situation on the day, but if we are fully booked we may have to change your course.

  • Q.

    What if I don't know what the menu is when making a reservation?

    A.

    Please contact us by phone. We will suggest a menu for you on the day based on your physical condition, etc.

  • Q.

    Are there any cancellation fees?

    A.

    If you wish to cancel, please contact us at least 2 hours before your reservation time. If you cancel within 2 hours, we may charge you a cancellation fee.

    How do I pay?

    A.

    If you wish to pay by cash or credit card (JCB, DC, VISA, MasterCard, AMEX), please let us know at the front desk before or after your treatment.
    Guests staying at the hotel should sign in their room.

    Is there anything I should bring?

    A.

    Nothing in particular. We provide towels, bathrobes, slippers, paper shorts, hairbrushes, hairdryers, etc. If you want to remove your contact lenses, please bring your own case.
    Also, if you plan to touch up your makeup after the treatment, please bring your usual makeup products with you.

    Can I use the facility even if I am not a guest?

    Yes, we are available. We look forward to your reservations and inquiries.

    Are there any rooms available for two people?

    A.

    We have two couple rooms available. If the courses or times are different, we may assign you to a single room.

    How many people can use it at the same time?

    A.

    There are two twin rooms and two single rooms, and we can accommodate up to six people at a time. However, depending on the course, we may stagger the times.
    Once you have decided on your schedule, please make your reservation as early as possible.

    I have small children. Can I bring them with me?

    A.

    Only the person receiving the treatment may visit the spa.

  • Q.

    Can I just use the shower room?

    A.

    Please refrain from using the shower rooms for any purposes other than those included in your treatment.

    Can I change courses in the Total Care Program?

    Are there any menus available for pregnant women?

    We have a menu available for you to use.

    Can I use it during my period?

    A.

    We will suggest a course based on your physical condition.
    It is best to avoid treatments that involve showering (such as full-body packs and full-body scrubs) that can be stressful on the skin.

    Can I use the facility after drinking alcohol?

    A.

    We may decline your request.
    After treatment, circulation improves and alcohol circulates more easily, which can have the opposite effect.

  • Q.

    Is there a large public bath?

    A.

    We are sorry, but our spa does not have a hot bath facility.
    This is a treatment facility offering relaxation.

Questions about the climate in Miyakojima

  • Q.

    Is it hot in the summer? What kind of clothes should I wear?

    A.

    The highest temperature in summer is about 32 degrees, which is lower than in urban areas.
    However, the sun is very strong and there is a lot of UV rays, so don't forget to take precautions against sunburn.

  • Q.

    Is it cold from December to February? What kind of clothes should I wear?

    A.

    The average winter temperature in Miyakojima is 17 to 19 degrees Celsius, 10 degrees higher than Tokyo and about 1 degree higher than Naha.
    In addition, the temperature difference between night and day is small, with the lowest temperatures ranging from 15 to 17 degrees.
    However, it can get windy at times, so we recommend that you bring along a windbreaker or other windproof clothing.

    When does the rainy season start and end?

    A.

    Miyako Island, along with the main island of Okinawa, experiences the rainy season around May 9th each year, and the end of the rainy season is declared around June 23rd.
    However, Miyako Island, located 300 km southwest of the main island of Okinawa, is rarely hit by the rainy season front, and the average rainfall in May over the past 10 years has been less than that of the main island.

Questions about transportation

    Is there a free shuttle between Miyako Airport and the hotel?

    A.

    Advance reservations are required.
    Please note that we cannot accommodate inquiries made on the day of arrival.
    We do not provide transportation for groups.

    Is there a free shuttle between Miyako Shimojishima Airport and the hotel?

    A.

    Unfortunately, we don't have any.
    Please come to the museum by public bus or taxi.

  • Q.

    Do I need to rent a car?

    A.

    Miyakojima does not have a lot of traffic, many roads are wide, and there are few cars that drive at high speeds, so even if you are unfamiliar with renting a car, you should be able to enjoy driving relatively easily.
    However, taxi fares on Miyako Island are inexpensive, with the starting fare being just 500 yen, and a trip to Hirara city costs around 2,000 yen, so we recommend using a taxi depending on the purpose of your stay.

    How can I rent a car?

    A.

    If you use Orix Rent-A-Car, the Tokyu Special Plan (discount rate) is available to guests staying at the hotel. Please make reservations in advance by phone or use the dedicated phone in the lobby that can be used directly with Orix Rent-A-Car. (*Advance reservations are recommended.)

    There is a Times Car Share station in the parking lot of MIYAKOJIMA TOKYU HOTEL & RESORTS. To use the station, you must register as a member of Times Car Share and make a reservation. For details on membership registration and how to use the station, please see the official Times Car website.

    Are there any precautions to take when driving in Miyakojima?

    A.

    In Miyakojima, there are few cars honking and speeding, so you will probably experience less stress.
    However, there are many vehicles that join at tricky times from side roads, so you need to be careful.
    Also, various animals cross the road, such as rock thrushes crossing the road at low altitudes, butterflies crossing the road, and at night, land crabs and land hermit crabs cross the road.
    Drive safely and slow down in unfamiliar terrain.

    From the day you join, you will receive 5 points for every 100 yen you spend on accommodation and restaurant purchases.
    The points you accumulate can be used for your next stay or for dining at MIYAKOJIMA TOKYU HOTEL & RESORTS or any other TOKYU HOTELS across Japan.
    Although the regular check-out time is 11:00, members can use their rooms until 12:00.
    In addition, you can reserve exclusive member-only plans.

    Can I earn points if I stay through a travel agency?

    Points will be earned for restaurant use even if your stay is made through a travel agency.
    Please present this card when you check in. (Excluding benefits included in the accommodation fee.)
    Points cannot be earned when booking accommodation via a travel agency.
    Please note that internet reservations made on any site other than this website or TOKYU HOTELS chain website are also not eligible.

    There is no joining fee or annual fee.

    How do I go about the registration process?

    A.

    You can join at the hotel front desk or online.
    If you sign up at the front desk, we will issue you a card on the same day, but you will need to register online at a later date.
    If you apply for membership online, you can make reservations immediately at COMFORT MEMBERS special rate by entering the membership number displayed on the "Membership Completion" screen and the password you set. Your membership card will be mailed to you approximately two weeks after you complete the membership process.
    You will need your card to accumulate points. Please bring it with you when you check in. (If you forget, we will give you a postcard for applying for points.)
