New collaboration project with Minami-Mido: "Azuki porridge" available only on the monthly memorial day of Saint Shinran

As a new initiative with Minami-Mido, affectionately known as "Minami no Midosuji" and the origin of the name of Osaka's main street, Midosuji, we will be offering porridge made with red beans, which is said to have been a favorite food of Saint Shinran, as a limited-time breakfast menu item on the monthly anniversary of Saint Shinran's death.

At Minami-Mido, "Ginnan-gayu" has been served as a meal during the "Hoonko" festival from October 25th to 28th every year since 1972. "Ginnan-gayu" is a rice porridge made with red beans and sweet potatoes, and is topped with ginkgo nuts, named after the ginkgo trees that line Midosuji. It is a specialty dish used to entertain worshippers from all over the country and people passing by on Midosuji, and is a fall delicacy that has been loved by people of all ages and genders.

Based on a recipe specially provided by Minami-Mido, "Azuki Bean Porridge" will be served at the hotel breakfast, which consists of porridge cooked with Osaka-grown rice, topped with azuki beans, sweet potatoes, and seasonal ingredients.
