Please note that in accordance with Osaka regulations, from January 1, 2017 onwards, an accommodation tax will be charged according to the accommodation fee.
In addition, due to a partial revision of the Accommodation Tax Ordinance, there will be a change in the taxable accommodation fee for stays from June 1, 2019.

Before the change (until May 31, 2019)
[Tax: per person per night]
10,000 yen to 14,999 yen: 100 yen
15,000 yen to 19,999 yen: 200 yen
20,000 yen or more: 300 yen

After change (from June 1, 2019)
[Tax: per person per night]
7,000 yen to 14,999 yen: 100 yen
15,000 yen to 19,999 yen: 200 yen
20,000 yen or more: 300 yen

Starting June 1, 2019, the accommodation tax will be reduced from the current 10,000 yen or more to 7,000 yen or more.
Until May 31, 2019, the tax will be levied on accommodation fees of 10,000 yen or more per person per night.
