TOKYU HOTELS & Resorts x Inha University of Technology (Korea)
Internship agreements across borders
- Aiming to strengthen response and improve services to diverse tourists visiting Japan from around the world -

TOKYU HOTELS & RESORTS CO., LTD.

TOKYU HOTELS & RESORTS CO., LTD. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Jun Murai) is pleased to announce that it signed an internship agreement with Inha University of Technology (Incheon Metropolitan City; President: Kim Sung-chan) in the Republic of Korea on February 25, 2025.

Inha College of Technology is a vocational school of the Korean Air Group, consisting of 5 faculties and 28 departments, with approximately 7,200 students enrolled. The school has recently opened an "Overseas On-site Training" course, and this marks the first time that a hotel operated by the company has accepted students from Japan for an overseas on-site training program.
The students we are recruiting are from three departments in the Faculty of Service Management: Tourism Management, Hotel Management, and the Aviation Operations Department, where many students aim to become flight attendants. We will begin accepting applications in March 2025, select about five students, and begin their internships in mid-August. The internship period is scheduled to be 15 to 20 weeks from August to December 2025.

We will begin accepting students at four hotels: SHIBUYA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU, SHIBUYA TOKYU REI HOTEL, HANEDA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU, and HAKATA EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU. All of these hotels are frequented by foreigners, especially Koreans, and we hope that the students will be able to put into practice what they have learned in school and demonstrate their English as well as Korean language skills.
In addition, in order to provide a better working environment during the internship, an allowance will be paid to each intern on a self-sufficient basis, and company housing will also be provided.

For this internship, students will come to Japan on a "Designated Activities" visa, which allows them to work for a period of up to one year. However, if the student and our company agree, we will switch the visa to an "Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/International Services" visa, and we will employ the student as an employee.

TOKYU HOTELS & Resorts will actively recruit new personnel from overseas in order to better cater to the diverse range of tourists visiting Japan from all over the world and to improve services.
