TOKYU HOTELS, Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Jun Murai) announces that due to the expiration of lease agreements, Tokyo Toranomon TOKYU REI HOTEL will close on March 31, 2023, and Akasaka EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU will close on August 31, 2023.

Tokyo Toranomon TOKYU REI HOTEL been in business for 46 years since it first opened in March 1976 as the Atagoyama Tokyu Inn, and Akasaka EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU has been in business for 53 years since it first opened in September 1969 as the Akasaka TOKYU HOTEL. Both hotels have cherished their ties with the local community, serving as bases for business and tourism in the Shimbashi/Toranomon and Akasaka areas, as well as places for gathering and relaxation.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our customers and related parties for their long-standing patronage.

TOKYU HOTELS also opened the Yonezawa EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU (franchise agreement) in April this year, and THE HOTEL HIGASHIYAMA BY KYOTO TOKYU HOTEL in July.
In addition, KICHIJOJI EXCEL HOTEL TOKYU on October 28th of this year, BELLUSTAR TOKYO and HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU in Shinjuku, Tokyo in spring 2023, and a new large hotel at the gateway to Susukino, Sapporo in the fall of the same year.
Going forward, we will continue to actively open stores that will become "travel destinations" that appeal to global markets that are expected to recover and to the next generation of guests, welcoming a diverse range of customers and building a chain network with strong brand power and profitability.
