A short trip in autumn to enjoy nature
Izu in autumn is good for the mountains. Amagi, located in the center of the Izu Peninsula, is dotted with spots to enjoy the autumn sea breeze. At the foot of Joren-no-taki Falls, the setting of the Showa-era hit song "Amagi koshi" (Amagi Crossing), you can enjoy river fishing in the clear mountain air. Amagi International Trout Fishing Ground
Experience fishing for rainbow trout and amago salmon at Joren Falls, one of the "100 Best Waterfalls in Japan." Fishing rods, bait, and other equipment are provided (for a fee), so even beginners can enjoy river fishing with ease. You can also grill and eat the fish you catch at the adjacent facility (550 yen for stove rental), which is a nice service.

Roadside Station "Amagigoe" Maple Forest
The maple forest adjacent to the roadside station is at its most colorful from early to late November. The sight of the brilliantly colored Momiji spreading across the grounds is a beautiful sight that can only be seen at this time of year. On the grounds, you can tour the relocated Yasushi Inoue House (fee required).

A cafe near Joren Falls that is popular for its sandwiches. There is a picnic area on the premises that is full of greenery, so you can enjoy the nature of Amagi to the fullest. The cafe uses New Zealand brand Allpress Espresso for its specialty coffee. Enjoy it with sandwiches made from bread baked in the cafe.
