THE CAPITOL HOTEL TOKYU is located on the site of the members-only restaurant "Hoshioka Saryo," which was run by the extraordinary gourmet Kitaoji Rosanjin. The restaurant also had a gourmet club, and its insatiable commitment to food was the very essence of hospitality. Sanno no Mori Gourmet Club offers a refined gourmet experience that incorporates modern sensibilities while inheriting the prestigious history and spirit of the restaurant. This is the third time the restaurant has been held, and Executive Chef Sogabe Toshinori will prepare a special course of French cuisine with a "truffle" theme. Wines and champagnes carefully selected by the sommelier will add a touch of elegance. Enjoy a one-of-a-kind gourmet feast that pursues the hotel's cuisine and can't be found anywhere else.

History
The hill of Hie Shrine, where "The Capitol Hotel Tokyu" is located, has been called "Star Hill" since ancient times as a scenic spot with beautiful stargazing. From the end of the Taisho era to the beginning of the Showa era, the rare gourmet Kitaoji Rosanjin presided over the members-only restaurant "Hoshigaoka Saryo", and it flourished as a place for many politicians and business leaders to socialize.
Toshinori Sogabe
Executive Chef and Deputy General Manager THE CAPITOL HOTEL TOKYU. Travelled to France at the age of 26 to study French cuisine in depth. After returning to Japan, joined NAGOYA TOKYU HOTEL. Became chef of Coucagno at CERULEAN TOWER TOKYU HOTEL in 2001, and won one star in the Michelin Tokyo '08 in 2007. Became executive chef of THE YOKOHAMA BAY HOTEL TOKYU in 2008, and has been serving as deputy general manager since 2017. He has held his current position since April 2019. In addition to continuing to pioneer new culinary worlds through the pursuit of memorable hospitality for customers and the creation of menus inspired by paintings, he is also committed to training the next generation of chefs.
