Christmas special dinner event

THE CAPITOL HOTEL TOKYU is located on a site that was once the site of a members-only restaurant called "Hoshioka Saryo" run by the extraordinary gourmet Kitaoji Rosanjin. The restaurant had a gourmet club and its insatiable passion for food was a reflection of the spirit of hospitality.
Sanno no Mori Gourmet Club offers a sophisticated gourmet experience that incorporates modern sensibilities while inheriting the prestigious history and spirit of the restaurant. This will be the third time the restaurant has been held, and Executive Chef Toshinori Sogabe will be serving a special course of French cuisine with a truffle theme. The course will be complemented by wines and champagnes that have been carefully paired by a sommelier.
Enjoy a one-of-a-kind gourmet feast that is the result of the hotel's pursuit of perfection in cuisine.

History

The hill of Hie Shrine, where "The Capitol Hotel Tokyu" is located, has been called "Star Hill" since ancient times as a scenic spot with beautiful stargazing. From the end of the Taisho era to the beginning of the Showa era, the rare gourmet Kitaoji Rosanjin presided over the members-only restaurant "Hoshigaoka Saryo", and it flourished as a place for many politicians and business leaders to socialize.


 

Toshinori Sogabe

Executive Chef and Deputy General Manager THE CAPITOL HOTEL TOKYU. Travelled to France at the age of 26 to study French cuisine in depth. After returning to Japan, joined NAGOYA TOKYU HOTEL. Became chef of Coucagno at CERULEAN TOWER TOKYU HOTEL in 2001, and won one star in the Michelin Tokyo '08 in 2007. Became executive chef of THE YOKOHAMA BAY HOTEL TOKYU in 2008, and has been serving as deputy general manager since 2017. He has held his current position since April 2019. In addition to continuing to pioneer new culinary worlds through the pursuit of memorable hospitality for customers and the creation of menus inspired by paintings, he is also committed to training the next generation of chefs.

The price includes course menu, beverages, service charge and consumption tax.

Men must wear a jacket and women must wear formal attire
