Akkeshi Distillery was established in 2016 because the cool climate, sea fog, and high-quality water of Akkeshi Town in Hokkaido resembles the single malt mecca of Islay in Scotland. The barrels are made from Akkeshi peat, barley, and local Mizunara oak. The combination of sweet, lustrous fruitiness and peaty flavors spreads in your mouth. Aiming to create an Akkeshi all-star whiskey, this whiskey nurtured in the northern land is now attracting attention from all over the world.
