Mount Hakusan, one of the three most famous mountains in Japan, is known as the "seat of the white gods."
Hakusan has long been a beloved mountain for people in the capital, and Hakusan Hime Shrine regards it as its sacred mountain.
It is the head shrine of the approximately 3,000 Hakusan shrines across the country, and is known locally as "Shirayama-san."
It is well-known.

The enshrined deity, Shirayamahime no Okami, is also known as Kukurihime no Kami.
He is called "Kukuru" and is worshipped as a god who "ties" good fortune.
