A variety of distinctive whiskeys

When you sit down at the bar counter and look around the shelves of bottles, a variety of unique whiskeys will jump out at you.
FONTANA DI TREVI respects the passion of its past bartenders and, unusually for a hotel bar, offers a selection of 150 types of whiskey, from standard to unique.

The name whiskey comes from the Latin aqua vitae, meaning "water of life." It is only when a variety of factors, such as the raw materials and the shape of the distillation kettle, the topography and wind direction of the production area, the temperature and humidity, the material and size of the peat and storage barrels, etc., combine in a complex manner over a long period of time to produce a unique whiskey.
Some are fragrant even when drunk straight, some become even more flavorful when water is added, and some bring out their potential when mixed with carbonation.
It is truly the "angel's share."

Grain Morage

Here are just a few of the brands recommended by our bartenders.
Grain Morangie is a single malt brewed in the Highlands in northern Scotland. When mixed with ice and water in a 1:1 ratio (half a rocks), the hidden floral aroma is revealed, enhancing the flavor even more.

Hakushu 12 Year Old

In addition, Hakushu 12 Year Old, a representative Japanese single malt brewed at a forest distillery at the foot of Mount Kaikoma in Shinshu, can be enjoyed in two different flavors when mixed with soda, enhancing the peaty aroma and weight, as well as the original aroma of fresh greenery that is characteristic of Hakushu.

Finally, let me introduce my favorite.

Brora 32 years

"Brora 32 Years". This is a masterpiece that was produced in the town of Brora in the North Highlands until 1983, and is one of the malt whiskies with the strongest peaty aroma in the Highlands.
When I first encountered them 10 years ago, I was so impressed that I bought them without thinking twice.
We recommend straight or half-locked styles. There are only a few left, so please give them a try.

Ardbeg "Alligator"

The other one is Ardbeg Alligator.
I recommend the half-rock, which is a limited edition product from Ardbeg.
I am very impressed with the performance despite the reasonable price.
