Traditional authentic bar
"FONTANA DI TREVI"

It has been eight years since I was put in charge of the bar counter.
This time I would like to talk about the bar counter where I work.

Since its opening, FONTANA DI TREVI has maintained its position as a traditional, authentic bar, with interior and atmosphere reminiscent of old European castles, an overwhelming selection of fine alcoholic beverages and reliable bar brewing techniques, and a wide variety of snacks and dishes that go perfectly with the drinks.
Although the types of bars have become increasingly diverse in recent years, we believe that at FONTANA DI TREVI you can experience a part of the history and tradition that dates back to when the first authentic bar was opened in a hotel in Yokohama in 1870 (Meiji 3).

A bar counter where stillness and movement coexist

 

Well, I think the charm of a bar counter is, above all, the atmosphere that combines stillness and movement.
The atmosphere at the bar counter is created through collaboration between the customer and the bartender, including conversations with the bartender, the excitement of making cocktails, and sipping fine drinks while listening to quiet background music.
To that end, we bartenders always consider our position when serving customers, standing neither too close nor too far away, so that they can have a comfortable experience.

Although the majority of our customers are men, we will make more efforts than ever before to offer a wide selection of wines and beers and develop cocktails aimed at women so that young women can also enjoy our bar.
Above all, we will strive to grow as bartenders, aiming to become bartenders that are loved by everyone.
