This is a guide to famous cherry blossom viewing spots around The Capitol Hotel Tokyu, located in Nagatacho, Tameike-sanno, and Akasaka, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.

Chidorigafuchi Greenway and Chidorigafuchi Park
This 700m long promenade runs along Chidorigafuchi on the west side of the Imperial Palace, from the entrance to the Chidorigafuchi National Cemetery to Yasukuni-dori. Approximately 170 cherry trees, including Somei-Yoshino and Yamazakura, are planted here, and you can enjoy the beauty of the pink cherry blossoms that contrast well with the deep green waters of Hanzo Moat and Chidorigafuchi.

Yasukuni Shrine
There are about 600 cherry trees in the grounds of Yasukuni Shrine, mainly Somei-Yoshino and Yamazakura, and the Japan Meteorological Agency examines the Somei-Yoshino trees here every year to predict and announce the cherry blossom blooming in Tokyo. The "Yasukuni Cherry Blossom," which is the standard for this, is located on the right hand side, past the second torii gate and the shrine gate.

Kitanomaru Park and Nippon Budokan
This park is adjacent to the Imperial Palace, and the Nippon Budokan is located within the grounds. Looking down from above, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, accompanied by thriving zelkova and dogwood trees, and their branches hang down to the water. The sight of the cherry blossoms stretching out towards the water of the moat is truly spectacular.

Sotobori Park
It is located along the Ushigome Moat, the Niimitsu Moat, and the Ichigaya Moat, and is about 2 km long. It is a promenade, so you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing while taking a leisurely stroll.

Tokiwabashi Bridge
This park preserves the remains of the castle gate "Tokiwabashi Gomon," which served as the main entrance to Edo Castle. You can enjoy cherry blossom cruises departing from the nearby Tokiwabashi Disaster Prevention Wharf, where weeping cherry blossoms bloom beautifully.
