Questions about accommodation

  • Q.

    Can you provide a pick-up from the station?

    A.

    We provide pick-up services from JR Hakuba Station or Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal between 8:00 and 20:00.
    Once you have decided your arrival time by JR or express bus, please contact us as soon as possible.
    We will assist you if you contact us at least one hour before your arrival on the day, but please note that you may have to wait if you contact us after that time.

  • Q.

    Can you provide transportation to the ski resort in winter or the gondola in summer?

    A.

    During the ski resort operating season, there is a free shuttle bus (mainly operated by the ski resort) that operates on schedule between Hakuba Goryu, 47, Happo-one, Hakuba Iwatake, and Tsugaike Kogen.
    *After the ski resort bus service ends, such as from April onwards, the hotel may operate a free shuttle bus on schedule (but the number of services will be reduced).

    During the green season when the gondola is in operation, the hotel operates a free shuttle bus between Happo-one (Alpine Line), Hakuba Iwatake (Mountain Resort), and Tsugaike Kogen (Panorama Way).

    Once the season begins, timetables will be posted on the website and information will be available around the hotel front desk, so please check and make a reservation before using the service. *No reservations are required for the ski bus in winter.

    In addition, there are buses (paid or free) that travel around Hakuba Village and the surrounding area depending on the season. Some require reservations, so please ask the hotel staff. (* Bus operations vary from year to year, so please contact the hotel for the latest information.)

    What time is check-in and check-out?

    A.

    Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out is at 11:00.
    Please note that depending on your accommodation plan, there may be times other than those listed above, so please check each time.
    *Tokyu COMFORT MEMBERS Members can enjoy 12:00 check-out as a member benefit.

  • Q.

    Can I extend my check-out time?

    A.

    If you continue to use the room after check-out at 11:00, the following additional fees will be charged.

    • Until 15:00: 1/4 of the basic accommodation fee

    • Until 18:00: 1/2 of the basic accommodation fee

    • After 18:00: Full basic accommodation fee

    Please note that this service may not be available depending on room availability.

  • Q.

    I am a Comfort Member, can I still apply for the extended check-out time?

    A.

    As a Comfort Member benefit, HAKUBA TOKYU HOTEL extends check-out time until 12:00.

  • Q.

    Can more than 3 people stay in one room?

    A.

    All rooms except Economy Twin can accommodate up to three guests using an extra bed, while Deluxe Twin and Suites can accommodate up to four guests using two extra beds.

    I would like to stay alone?

    A.

    Yes, you can. However, as we do not have single rooms, you will be accommodated in a twin room as a single room. Thank you for your understanding.

    Do you have baby cribs available?

    A.

    We provide free baby cots for children up to 12 months old. As the number is limited, please request one at the time of booking.

  • Q.

    My child is still small. How much will the accommodation fee be?

    A.

    Children who share a bed with guests are not included in the number of guests staying. We provide yukata, slippers, toothbrushes, and towels for children, so please feel free to ask.

    Can I specify the view or floor of my room?

    A.

    Please let us know your request when you make your reservation and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
    Please note that we cannot guarantee availability depending on the reservation situation.

    Smoking

    A.

    Smoking is prohibited in all rooms in the building. In addition, smoking is prohibited anywhere on the premises, including balconies, courtyards, and the parking lot. We apologize to smokers, but we ask that you smoke in the smoking booth next to the ski boot entrance on the first floor.

    Is there internet access available in the guest rooms?

    A.

    Free wireless LAN internet connection service is available throughout the building.
    A password is required to use the service. If you are staying at the hotel, please refer to the information in your room or inquire at the front desk.

    Can I borrow a DVD player?

    A.

    We can lend you a DVD player free of charge. However, as the number is limited, we recommend that you request one when making your reservation. It can also be used as a CD player.
    We also have several DVDs (movies) available, so please ask at the front desk.

  • Q.

    Can I prepare cakes, flowers, etc. in the guest room in advance?

    A.

    If you let us know at least 3 days before your stay, we will prepare it for you. The fee can be paid together with the accommodation fee.

    Can I send my luggage in advance or have it shipped from the hotel?

    A.

  • Q.

    Luggage storage before check-in and after check-out

    A.

    Before check-in, please register at the front desk and then leave your luggage at the bell desk. We will bring it to your room before you return to the hotel. Changing rooms are also available, so please use them to change into your ski wear.
    We will also keep your luggage after you check out at the bell desk. Please note that you will need to return the ski locker key when you check out, so please make sure to take out your luggage beforehand.

    Can I use the large public bath after checking out?

    A.

    Use of the large public bath after check-out will incur an additional fee.
    Admission is 1,000 yen for adults, 500 yen for elementary school students, and free for preschoolers.
    Bath towels will be given to you when you pay at the front desk.

  • Q.

    I am not staying at the hotel, but can I use the large communal bath as a non-resident?

    A.

    Adults can use the facility for 1,500 yen.
    Reception hours are from 13:00 to 16:00, so please come during those hours.
    Towels will be provided to you when you check in and pay at the front desk.

  • Q.

    Can I move around the building in a yukata?

    A.

    Please refrain from wearing yukata and slippers in the lobby and restaurant areas. You may wear yukata and slippers to the large public bath only if you use the dedicated elevator.

    Do I need to make a reservation in advance to rent skis?

    A.

    There is no need to do so as we have sufficient stock.

  • Q.

    Can I pay by credit card?

    A.

    We accept cards such as AMEX, DINERS, JCB, VISA, DC, SAISON, TOP, MASTER, TOYOTA, UC, and UnionPay.

  • Q.

    Can I exchange foreign currency?

    A.

    Automated currency exchange machines are available to exchange US dollars, euros, British pounds, Australian dollars, Chinese yen, Korean won, Hong Kong dollars and Thai baht for Japanese yen.
    When exchanging traveller's cheques, we only accept exchanges in US dollars.
    Please note that we do not exchange Japanese yen for foreign currencies.

    When should I notify you of cancellation? Also, how much is the cancellation fee?

    A.

    If you cancel your reservation, a cancellation fee (penalty) will be charged.

    • 3 days notice: 20%

    • Two days notice: 30%

    • Contact after 3pm the day before: 50%

    • Same-day contact: 100%

    • If there is no response...100%

    The cancellation fee (penalty) rate is a percentage of the basic accommodation fee (excluding service charges and taxes). Please note that it is different from the rate at the time of booking. Please contact us for more information.

Restaurant & Bar Questions

    Do I need to make a reservation in advance to use the service?

    A.

    There is no need to make a reservation in advance for breakfast or lunch, but we ask that you make a reservation in advance for dinner. Please choose from the following entrance times.

    • Part 1...17:30

    • Part 2...19:45

    You can use the restaurant without making a reservation, but please note that the number of seats is limited.

  • Q.

    Can I bring my own wine?

    A.

    You can bring your own wine, but there is a charge of 9,900 yen (tax and service charge included) per bottle.

  • Q.

    Are there any restaurants with private rooms?

    A.

    Private rooms are available at Japanese restaurant "Manyo." Each room can accommodate up to 12 people.
    The private room usage fee is 6,837 yen per 2 hours (tax and service charge included).
    For parties with more than the above numbers, we recommend using the banquet hall.

    *Please note that Japanese cuisine is currently not available at the Japanese restaurant "Manyo."

    Can small children use the facility?

    A.

    Small children are welcome in all restaurants. We also have chairs for children, so please ask when making a reservation or when dining at the restaurant.

    Are there any dress codes when dining at the restaurants?

    A.

    There is no specific dress code; however, we ask that you refrain from wearing yukata or slippers.
    If you find it difficult to dine in hiking boots, please feel free to ask at the front desk to lend you sandals.

  • Q.

    What kind of services are available when dining at a restaurant on anniversaries, etc.?

    A.

    Birthday cakes and bouquets (flowers) are available. Please let us know at least three days before the date of use. For special orders, please contact us as early as possible.
    The fee can be paid together with your restaurant bill.

  • Q.

    I have dietary restrictions. Can the restaurant accommodate my requests?

    A.

    Please let us know your request when making your reservation.
