Another recommended scenic route via Nabetahama and Oura
*Large buses should use this route.

From Izukyu-Shimoda Station, take National Route 136 towards Minamiizu. Continue straight at the "Shimoda 5-chome" intersection in front of Shimoda Medical Center. There is a route via Nabetahama that requires turning left immediately after passing through the tunnel.

Once you exit the tunnel, follow the sign for SHIMODA TOKYU HOTEL and turn left onto the narrow road. From there, just keep going straight. The route runs along the beautiful Nabetahama Beach and Oura Beach.

After walking along the narrow road for a while, you will reach Nabetahama Beach. With Nabetahama Beach on your right, continue straight along the road along the sea until you reach the entrance to SHIMODA TOKYU HOTEL. Please be careful.

The route to turn left next to Lawson about 5 meters from Shimoda 5-chome intersection on National Route 136 toward Minamiizu is very narrow and has a slope. It is especially dangerous at night, so we do not recommend it. Please note that your car navigation system will show this route as the shortest distance.
