Because it is costly to repurpose PET bottles into beverage containers, they are actually downcycled into clothing and other items.

On the other hand, the recycling rate (recycling rate) for aluminum beverage cans was 96.6% in fiscal 2021.
Furthermore, the can-to-can rate for recycling into aluminum cans is a high 67.0%. (Aluminum Can Recycling Association/Toshima-ku, Tokyo)

Therefore, SHIMODA TOKYU HOTEL hopes to reduce the burden on the environment as much as possible by switching to aluminum cans, which have a high recycling rate.
